Parent Speaker Series
About the Program
The Parent Speaker Series is organized by the staff at Westcott to help guide parents through the difficult journey of raising their children. Speakers are chosen based on their experience or expertise in one parenting sphere or another, and the topics are intended to be relevant to the practical difficulties parents are facing in our present culture, in addition to the timeless parenting techniques that all parents should know. The schedule for these events varies. Please click below for more information.
Adventure of Parenting:
"Save your son from digital destruction: using the internet without time-wasting and pornography"
Tuesday December 1st, 7:15pm-8:30pm
at Westcott Study Center
TV's, home computers, school Ipads and tablets, personal smart phones, video game consoles, and other devices surround your family. How are these devices influencing your son's future happiness and what can we do about it?
We will discuss a common-sense approach to technology and how articulate it to your sons. We will recommend many excellent resources for educating your family about this important issue.
